Starlight Awarded for ArtsKC Support

Starlight Theatre associates put their money where their mouths are when it comes to supporting Kansas City’s arts community. Recognizing that local arts organizations are stronger together than separate, each spring Starlight staff members financially support the arts by contributing to the citywide ArtsKC Fund through its employee giving campaign.

At Starlight, ArtsKC Fund week activities usually mix fun and food; past events have included a chili cook-off, painting a graffiti wall and Cinco de Mayo potluck lunches. Since 2008, Starlight employees have contributed nearly $19,000 to support Kansas City’s performing and visual arts through the ArtsKC Fund.

And our associates’ generosity has not gone unnoticed. The ArtsKC Regional Arts Council recently recognized Starlight as the “Most Money Raised, Nonprofit/Arts Organization” for its support of the 2015 ArtsKC Fund campaign.

In total, the ArtsKC Fund campaign raised $519,000 this year to strengthen Kansas City’s thriving arts community.
