The dog days of summer are here at Starlight Theatre as the 2015 Broadway season is in full swing! Annie, a brand-new incarnation of one of the best-loved Broadway musicals, will grace the Starlight stage June 19-21.

Did you know the cherished K9 companion who plays Sandy was specifically trained to perform theatre? Annie producers searched near and far before settling on Sunny, an adorable pup rescued from the BARC Municipal Shelter in Houston.

Think you have a pet cuter than this beloved Broadway star? Post a snapshot of your pet to Instagram using the hashtag #KCStarlightPet for the chance to win 4 tickets to an Annie performance of your choice. The deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m. on June 17. Good luck!

Contest rules:

• Timeframe: Instagram contest begins June 11, ends at 11:59 p.m. on June 17

• To Enter: Instagram followers must post a picture of their pet to Instagram with the hashtag #KCStarlightPet. Older posts can be edited to include the #KCStarlightPet hashtag as long as it is tagged within the contest timeframe.

• Eligibility: Only visible, public accounts will be eligible (private posts do not display on hashtag search). Contestants are encouraged to follow the @KCStarlight Instagram account.

• Prize: One winner will receive four tickets to Annie at Starlight Theatre.
