Al Roker in Waitress, A Star is Born, Three EGOT Winners & 2019 Broadway Series
The Today Show’s featured anchor and favorite weatherman, Al Roker, has traded in his meteorology gig to make his Broadway debut in the hit musical Waitress. With songs by Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles, this irresistible show tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. Roker joined the cast as Joe, the diner’s owner and resident curmudgeon, at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre beginning in early October. He will be with the show through November 11, all while still balancing his role at The Today Show. Now, that’s what I call showbiz.
