Calling all nonprofits! Want to give your organization’s clients a taste of Broadway? With the Community Tickets program, Starlight is excited to donate to fellow Kansas City nonprofits free tickets for each of our Broadway shows. The deadline to apply for the 2020 AdventHealth Broadway Season is Friday, March 20.
Giving back to the community has been a priority of Starlight’s since the beginning. Starlight’s vice president of education and outreach, Barb Schulte, spearheads the program and emphasizes Starlight’s unparalleled commitment to providing local nonprofits access to live Broadway entertainment since the organization’s inception in 1951.
“By distributing 364 free tickets to every performance of every Broadway show, Starlight helps Kansas City nonprofit organizations share the magic of live performances with the individuals, families and others they serve,” Schulte said. “We are very proud to give back to our community in such a unique and important way!”
Last year, Starlight gave over 12,000 Community Tickets to 124 organizations. In 2020, even more Broadway tickets will be distributed for the eight-show season that features My Fair Lady, The SpongeBob Musical, Escape to Margaritaville and more!
Starlight is passionate about keeping the arts accessible to all, especially those with social, economic, medical or otherwise restrictive circumstances. The Starlight Community Tickets program focuses on groups dedicated to enhancing the lives of students, underprivileged and at-risk youth, the medically dependent or disabled and low-income senior citizens.
