Grease' Prequel 'Summer Loving' in the Works With John August Writing
We are hopelessly devoted to all-things Grease...except for Grease 2...that was terrible. Rumor has it that Paramount Pictures has a prequel to the iconic 1970s musical and movie in the works, with veteran writer John August tapped to write the film. August penned the big-screen hits “Big Fish” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” and is currently working on the live-action version of Disney’s Aladdin, to be released later this month. Titled Summer Loving, this Grease prequel will take on the story of Danny and Sandy’s summer romance as relayed in the song “Summer Nights” from the movie and musical. We’ll keep you updated on this exciting new film as we know more.
