Blue Star Alum on Broadway, Because of Winn Dixie & Beyonce's The Gift

Reaching for the stars is just what former Blue Star award winner, Tyler Eisenreich, has accomplished as he was cast in the newest Broadway revival, West Side Story. Tyler received the highest honor at Starlight’s Blue Star Awards in 2012 when he won Outstanding Actor in a Lead Role, allowing him to travel to New York City and represent Starlight Theatre at The Jimmy Awards. Now he is back in New York, where West Side Story will open at the Broadway Theatre this December. Earlier this summer, the musical theatre world welcomed Because of Winn Dixie to the stage for the first time in its debut run at Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut. Based on the book by Kate DiCamillo, this musical portrays how the surprises of life can bring joy and acceptance into a world that is often lonesome.
