Thanksgiving is arguably one of Broadway’s favorite holidays – with many current productions and Broadway alumni performing live during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! The 92nd annual parade airs Thursday, Nov. 22 with coverage on NBC and CBS. Performance details are as follows -
NBC – Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Thursday, Nov. 22 at 8 a.m.
Today Show hosts Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker host NBC’s 3-hour broadcast of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Coverage includes performances by the casts of Mean Girls, My Fair Lady, The Prom and Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, and the Radio City Rockettes. In addition, Jesus Christ Superstar Emmy nominee John Legend, Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose and Cats alum Leona Lewis will appear on floats.
CBS – Thanksgiving Day Parade
Thursday, Nov. 22 at 8 a.m.
Head over to CBS for additional Broadway performances interspersed with Macy’s Parade coverage. Cast members of Dear Evan Hansen, the 2017 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical, as well as the brand-new musicals King Kong and Head Over Heels are slated to perform.
