Live music under the stars is a summertime tradition at Starlight Theatre, and with eight concert dates already confirmed for 2016, it’s shaping up to be another concert season to remember.

The two newest concert announcements are Barenaked Ladies with OMD and Howard Jones on Saturday, June 4, and Grammy Award®-winning folk singer Ray LaMontagne on Monday, Sept. 19.

The concerts and artists confirmed so far for the 2016 Capitol Federal Concert Series at Starlight include:

The 1975 are touring North America in support of their much-anticipated sophomore album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it, which is scheduled for release in February. This art-pop quartet from the outskirts of Manchester reinvigorated the U.K. alternative music scene in 2013 with their self-titled debut album that included the hit songs “Chocolate” and “Girls.”
  • Barenaked Ladies

Barenaked Ladies’ “Last Summer on Earth 2016” tour will visit 34 U.S. cities in support of the band’s upcoming new album, BNL Rocks Red Rocks. The live album, recorded last summer at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, is scheduled for release May 20. It captures the band’s prowess for combining great songs, impromptu banter, fan participation and musicianship. OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) and Howard Jones will also perform.
  • The Cure
Wednesday, June 8 – Sold out!

“The Cure Tour 2016” spotlights Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Jason Cooper, Roger O’Donnell and Reeves Gabrels as they explore 37 years of Cure songs. They will mix hits, rarities, favorites and as yet unreleased tracks in a brand-new stage production.
  • Weezer & Panic at the Disco
Wednesday, July 20 – Tickets on sale now

Founded in 1992, Weezer combines heavy power pop with a “geeky” sense of humor. With a total of 10 studio albums, the band has sold more than 17 million copies worldwide. The newest album is self-titled (the band’s fourth) and also known as The White Album. It features singles “Thank God for Girls,” “Do You Wanna Get High” and “King of the World.”
  • Duran Duran
Sunday, July 24 – Tickets on sale now

With its four original members, Duran Duran is hitting the road in support of Paper Gods, the band’s 14th studio album released last September. The English new wave group first rose to prominence in the 1980s with heavy exposure on then-new MTV and behind several hit singles including “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” “Girls and Film” and more. They’ll be joined by legendary band CHIC, led by guitarist Nile Rodgers.

The talented singer-songwriter sisters first topped the charts in the 1970s and continued with big hits throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s.
  • Josh Groban with Sarah McLachlan
Tuesday, Aug. 16 – Tickets on sale now

The “Josh Groban: On Stage” tour stops at Starlight, featuring the multi-platinum-selling recording artist and entertainer performing from Stages, his recent collection of musical theatre’s greatest hits. • Ray LaMontagne
Monday, Sept. 19 – Tickets on sale March 4

Since releasing his debut album in 2004, Ray LaMontagne has gone on to an ambitious, critically acclaimed career. His 2010 release of God Willin’ and the Creek Don’t Rise highlighted LaMontagne’s sweet but raspy voice and took home the Grammy Award® for Best Contemporary Folk Album. He will tour 45 North American cities in 2016 in support of his sixth studio album, Ouroboros, which was self-written and produced in partnership with Jim James of My Morning Jacket.
