Plan Your Visit to Starlight

There are a lot of changes this year at Starlight Theatre, including a new clear bag policy, new dining + concessions, and new parking signs.

Please be sure to read about it all before you head to Starlight this summer!

The Experience

Rhythm, acrobatics, and theatrics all come together to create the perfect storm of a show in STOMP. It’s a musical and theatrical experience like never before.

From humble beings in Brighton, England, to performing in over 350 cities in 36 countries worldwide, STOMP has brought the rhythm since 1991. STOMP is a percussion group that specializes in the unconventional, using their bodies and everyday objects to create a unique sound. STOMP seeks to entertain with the rhythm and rush of the music and to convey a unique message in the process through music.

STOMP has seen success throughout the years, winning an Obie Award and Drama Desk Award for Most Unique Theatre Experience. Not only is it one of the longest-running shows, but it is also one of the most financially successful Off-Broadway shows. Online news outlet Rappler interviewed co-creator Steve McNicholas and he exclaimed that when you remove dialogue and melody, you have the ability to tap into something universal.

It has been two years since STOMP last performed in Kansas City, but this will be their first time performing at Starlight. So come out and give them a warm Kansas City welcome.

STOMP is an energetic fast paced performance that will eagerly grab your attention. Blending all the elements of theatre to bring you a show like no other.

If you are sensitive or can get overstimulated by loud sounds or fast percussive sounds, please be cautious and aware of these things if you plan on attending.
