Promoting Internships at Career Fairs
Starlight Theatre staff are taking to the road this month to recruit prospective candidates for its Bob Rohlf Internship Program in 2016.
Each summer Starlight hires more than a dozen college students to work alongside its professional staff members to learn the ins and outs of live theatre production and administration. Interns quickly are immersed in the daily business of running the theatre. They contribute directly to multiple Starlight departments, including accounting, education, facilities, fundraising, group sales, horticulture, information systems, Broadway and concert marketing, operations and technical production.
Associates currently are traveling the circuit of area college career fairs to reach students and share the unique opportunities a Starlight summer internship can provide. Look for the Starlight table at the following events:
- Wednesday, Feb. 10 @ 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
University of Missouri-Columbia
Mizzou Arena - Wednesday, Feb. 10 @ 1-5 p.m.
University of Kansas
Kansas Union - Tuesday, Feb. 23 @ Noon-4 p.m.
Missouri State University
Springfield EXPO Center - Wednesday, Feb. 24 @ 1-4 p.m.
University of Central Missouri
Multipurpose Building Arena
Applications for the 2016 Bob Rohlf Internship Program will be accepted through Feb. 29.
