Everyone’s favorite Sister takes the Starlight Indoors stage once more at Sister Strikes Again!, January 15-27! The second installment in the hilarious hit Late Night Catechism series, Sister Strikes Again! brings audiences back to the classroom, reminding them of the “good ol’ days” when all you had to worry about was toeing the line with your teacher. Catholic or not, patrons love the nostalgic feel that they get from attending a Sister show.
Celebrating 25 years, the first installment of the Late Night Catechism series was launched in 1993 in Chicago to rave reviews, went on to earn a nomination for an Outer Critics Circle Award in New York and win the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Lead Performance for originator Maripat Donovan. The series has only grown since its inception and now consists of eight hilarious, one-nun shows, two of which have previously appeared at Starlight.
In her first classroom appearance in Kansas City in early 2016, Starlight audiences welcomed Sister’s debut in Late Nite Catechism in Berger studio. Later that year and just in time for the holiday season, Sister’s Christmas Catechism provided plenty of jolly laughter and good cheer in the larger Cohen Community Stage House in the 2016-17 Starlight Indoors series. Don’t miss out when Kansas City congregates when Sister Strikes Again! opens Jan. 15—this time with new, tiered seating and once again in Cohen Community Stage House!
