Starlight’s 31st Annual Gala is Saturday, Sept. 23

Save the date! On Saturday, Sept. 23, Starlight Theatre will celebrate how There’s No Business Like Show Business during the theatre’s 31st Annual Benefit Gala. Community leaders Ora Reynolds of Hunt Midwest and Carolyn Watley of CBIZ serve as co-chairs for the event.

The black-tie gala begins with a cocktail reception in Starlight’s Helzberg Garden of the Stars at 6:30 p.m. Guests then make their way to the Jeannette and Jerome Cohen Community Stage for a multi-course dinner, live entertainment from the Starlight STARS and an exciting reveal of Starlight’s 2018 Broadway season. Howard and Rosalyn Jacobson will be recognized as the 2017 Star Award honorees for their exceptional dedication to Starlight and the Kansas City community. The evening will close with an after-party in Starlight’s Applause Club.

Each year, the gala raises much-needed funds to support performing arts education programs at Starlight, programming, ongoing operations and maintenance.

Gala co-chairs Reynolds and Watley encourage community members to join Starlight on this important evening. “With your attendance and financial support, Starlight will continue to show that there’s no business like show business to hundreds of thousands of audience members each year,” they said.

Table sponsorships and tickets are still available. Responses must be received by Friday, Aug. 18, to ensure inclusion in printed materials.
