Submissions Open for the 2nd Annual Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge

For the second year in a row, The National Endowment for the Arts and the American Theatre Wing are looking for talented high school students to submit their original works in the Musical Theatre Songwriting Challenge. Last year, almost 200 students from 36 states submitted an application, and six finalists were invited to New York City for a weekend workshop with industry professionals. The winner was then chosen via a live webcast. So, think you’ve got what it takes to win this years competition? Don’t throw away your shot, submissions will be accepted through April 30th.

The West End revival of the Broadway classic 42nd Street is coming to a movie theatre near you. The production was directed by the original author of the show, Mark Bramble, and filmed at London’s Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. 42nd Street tells the story of Peggy, a small town girl who moves to New York to follow her dream of starring in a Broadway show.
