Theatre Etiquette
At Starlight Theatre, we ask that all patrons be considerate of their fellow guests at all times. The following theatre etiquette reminders are intended to clarify expectations and enhance the Starlight experience for all:
Before the Show
Curtain time for Broadway shows is 8 p.m. Please arrive early to ensure you are seated prior to curtain. If you arrive late, you must wait for an usher to seat you at a time pre-determined by the touring production.
Free booster seats are available at guest kiosks. A child may sit on an adult’s lap as long as the view of other patrons remains unobstructed.
While umbrellas are allowed into the venue for your convenience, we ask that they not be opened in seating areas where they would obstruct the view of fellow patrons.
Smoking is not allowed in seating or food and beverage areas. Designated smoking areas are provided north of the seating area and east of the Encore Deck.
During the Performance
Please do not talk, text or use your cell phone during performances. Extra sounds and lights are distracting to performers and fellow patrons. Additionally, the use of cameras or recording equipment is prohibited during all Broadway shows.
We ask that all patrons enjoy the show from their ticketed seats. Do not move to empty seats that you did not purchase.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy the music. Please avoid singing along.
Before the show and at intermission are the ideal times to use the restroom or get food and beverages. If you must leave during the performance, please be quiet and do not linger in the aisles.
Remember that the show is not over until the actors have completed their bows. Please remain in your seats and, if you enjoyed the performance, applaud the show. The cast and crew appreciate your support!
Thank you for reviewing and respecting these standards of conduct at Starlight.
Please understand that Starlight management, staff and volunteers must work to minimize disruptions in order to ensure enjoyment of the performance for the majority of our guests. Repeated failure to comply with the above theatre etiquette and related Starlight management policies may result in revocation of a guest’s ticket. Breach of any of the foregoing will automatically terminate the ticket, which is a revocable license.
